    ✅ 1. Preparation before installation

    📌 Check the installation location

    • The location must ensure good ventilation, unobstructed return air and discharge airflow, and allow easy servicing and maintenance.

    • Do not install near sources of steam, corrosive gases or areas prone to fire or explosion.

    • Ensure the installation surface is level and has sufficient load-bearing capacity (≥ 350kg).

    • Minimum clearances:

      • In front of the outdoor unit: ≥ 1,000mm

      • At the rear and on both sides: ≥ 300mm

      • Above: ≥ 500mm

      • Between outdoor units: ≥ 100mm

      • Height difference between outdoor and indoor units: within Daikin's limits (typically ≤ 50m)

✅ 2. Construction of the outdoor unit base and support frame

    🧱 Concrete base

    • Base dimensions: length and width 100–200mm greater than the outdoor unit footprint.

    • Pour M200 concrete, at least 150mm thick.

    • Install M12 or M14 anchor bolts to secure the outdoor unit.

🪵 Steel frame (for suspended or rooftop installations)

    • Use load-bearing box-section steel/stainless steel ≥ 5mm thick.

    • Weld securely, apply 2 coats of anti-rust paint and an exterior topcoat.

    • Check level using a spirit level after completion.

✅ 3. Installation and securing of the RXQ18BYM outdoor unit

    • Use a forklift or hoist to lower the outdoor unit into position.

    • Place anti-vibration rubber pads under the base feet.

    • Tighten the mounting bolts securely, but not excessively, to avoid cracking the unit casing.

    • Check that the outdoor unit is level using a spirit level.

✅ 4. Copper pipe (refrigerant) connections

    🔧 Copper pipe technical requirements

    • Use copper piping of the soft, seamless, continuous-length type (coil) meeting the JIS H3300 Tử Type H standard.

    • Pipe diameters must comply with the manufacturer's design for model RXQ18BYM (e.g.: Ø28.58mm or Ø34.9mm depending on capacity).

    🔧 Pipe connection technique

    • Use flare connections and tighten with a torque wrench to Daikin's specified torque.

    • Evacuate the entire system after making the connections.

    • Check for leaks using a leak detection spray or pressure gauge.

    • Apply insulation and thermal insulation tape for 100% sealed coverage.

    ✅ 5. Electrical connections

    ⚡ Power supply specifications

    • Power supply: 3-phase ~ 380V – 50Hz

    • Power: 13.8kW

    • Rated current: refer to Daikin's technical documentation

    ⚡ Outdoor electrical panel installation

    • Electrical wiring: concealed in flexible conduit/PVC conduit.

    • Use copper conductors with a cross-sectional area sufficient for the load (minimum 10mm²).

    • Install a dedicated circuit breaker for each outdoor unit.

    • Provide safe earthing with resistance <10Ω (a separate earth rod if required).

✅ 6. Control signal connections (if applicable)

    • Use control wiring to connect to the indoor units, B/C centre or central controller (if used).

    • Ensure correct polarity (S1 – S2 – S3) and do not run the wiring in the same conduit as the power supply cables.

✅ 7. Inspection and test run

    • Check all of the following:

      • Refrigerant pressure

      • Supply voltage

      • Wiring matches the diagram

      • No refrigerant leaks or electrical leakage

    • Start the system from the central controller or the indoor unit.

    • Monitor the current, noise, vibration, and outlet air temperature after 10–15 minutes of operation.

    ✅ 8. Maintenance and recommendations

    • Perform periodic maintenance every 3 – 6 months:

      • Clean the heat exchanger

      • Check the refrigerant pressure

      • Retighten the electrical connections

      • Check the outdoor unit fan and starting capacitor

    • The unit should not operate continuously for more than 24h/day at high capacity.
